back to work

Drove back to camp today. Reluctantly. I performed an emergency break. I was fiddling with my iPod & noticed a red light at last minute in Oxford. Hope I didn’t cause any damage to Dexter To add to the chaos, the vehicle entrance to this place is impossible to find. And my garmin doesn’t flag co-ordinates that are off the grid.

My bed was up on it’s headboard when I got back. Every time I get back it’s in a different state of disarray Kinda broke the bed trying to get it back down. Shh. I swapped it for the one opposite. Found a set of ironed uniform in my wardrobe Yay.

Can’t be arsed to set up my telly yet. Will save that excitement for tomorrow. If I can get freeview reception, I’ll have to get a TV license. Squaddies shouldn’t have to pay.

On the south bank right now, there’s a little hut with a camera in it. You go in the hut, grab a white board, write what you think about southbank and it takes your photo. The hut has a direct link to flickr. It’s awesome. Not as awesome as our failed attempt in 2007, but w/e. Try find me in their stream.

THEY TEEFED MY BIKE!

Yeah, it was locked up here on the Uxbridge Road (almost opposite a police station), and it got jaaaacked!

I just bought a new helmet. Just fitted a thing under the seat to hold my new bikebag. Just got a new mask to cycle on the roads with. Just changed the rear inner tube. Just cleaned & greased it. FFS >:(

Reported it to the police as soon as I saw it was gone. Bless the copper who dealt with me, she seemed in a fuddle. Doubt there’s much they can do about it. They took the description & acked the CCTV people to try find anything. There looked to be just one CCTV camera nearby, and it was one of the round ones that could be pointing anywhere.

The block of flats next to it has a CCTV camera pointing in the direction of the bike racks where it was locked up, so I’ll see if I can get anything off them.

It’s doubtful.

If I ever see anyone riding around on my bike, I’ll knife them.
